Abstract

The absence of mechanical moving parts, simplicity and robustness of loop heat pipes (LHPs) has prompted many satellite manufacturers to employ LHPs as primary thermal control systems. The acknowledgement of temperature dynamics of LHP plays a vital role in conception, optimization and control of the same. The overall thermal conductance varies not only with the power input, sink temperature and ambient conditions, but also with the previous history of its operation. In this connection, the present work is focused on a different approach for modeling LHPs. Experimental data for a vertical loop heat pipe made of copper, with two different working fluids, viz., water and ethanol for a range of heat inputs and fill ratios is collected from the literature. An artificial neural network (ANN) is trained with the collected test data and validated. Fully connected feed forward multilayer configuration (MLFFN) with momentum back propagation algorithm is adopted for the ANN. The MLFFN architecture consists of two input nodes representing the parameters heat input and fill ratio, and a single output node representing the thermal resistance of the LHP. The MLFFN predictions were validated within the domain of total available experimental data. This study also emphasizes that the understanding of the physical phenomena of LHP to be modeled by ANN is a prerequisite for getting acceptable results. As there is a serious limitation of conventional techniques for understanding the LHP physical phenomena and thermal behaviour, ANN approach appears to be very promising, if sufficient experimental data is available covering the entire range of system operation.

Abstract

The Rb-Sr isotopic systematics and petrochemistry of Dubha Granite occurring in the migmatite complex of Chhotanagpur Granite Gneiss Complex (CGGC) in parts of Sonbhadra district, Uttar Pradesh have been investigated.The Rb-Sr data on the whole rock samples (n=13) yields an isochron age of 17545±166 Ma with initial ⁸⁷Sr/⁸⁶Sr ratio of 0.7043±0.011.

The Dubha Granite is composed of quartz (34.2%), K-feldspar (37.4%), plagioclase (An2-40) (16.1%), biotite (9.6%), hornblende (1.9%), and accessory garnet, sphene, apatite, zircon, anatase, ilrnenite, magnetite, goethite, and chalcopyrite (0.8%). It is an anorogenic, metaluminous, ilmenite series, rift related granite, enriched in Ni, Cr, Co, V, Zn, Cu, Rb, Ba, Zr, Nb, Ce, U, Th and depleted in Sr and Y as compared to the normal granite. The Dubha Granites may have been generated by the anatexis of lower crustal material in the vicinity Son Narmada South Fault (SNSF).

Abstract

It is understood from the survey results that the average person is exposed to 3000 advertising message throughout the day  when he is watching the television, reading the news paper, browsing the website & especially when he/she is in travelling, exposed to numerous advertising messages which ultimately leads confusion and reduced the brand recall. Hence now organizations are keen in finding innovative ways to gain the customer attraction in promoting their products & services. 
Unconventional methods of marketing have its own contribution in gaining the people attraction. The best ways of advertising a brand cause consumers to think about the brand while they are seeing the ad as well as thinking about it later.

Abstract

There is no record of igneous activity in Upper Proterozoic-Kurnool/Palnad sediments. However, Igneous activity was recorded by number of geoscientists in the Cuddapah Super group of rocks in the Cuddapah Basin. For the first time the authors report the occurrence of eruptive igneous activity in the northern part of Palnad Basin,an equivalent of Kurnool Group, South of Venkataramapuram, Nalgonda district, Telangana State. The Igneous activity has affected the basal unit of Banganapalle Formation. Basal conglomerate is polymitic in nature with clasts/cobbles/boulders of dolerite, granite, granodorite, BMQ, meta-quartzite, quartzite, shale and lime stone of Palnad Formation. The average composition of conglomerate matrix (n=7) is 1.75% Fe2O3, 8.07% FeO, 3.74% MgO%, 8.07% CaO and 38.8% SiO2 which corresponds to basic igneous activity.
